From Saturday 3rd April, single and two seat buggies may be used - but they must be kept to the fairway at all times until further notice. Two seat buggies can only be used with the express permission of the General Manager. Please stay away from any known soft or wet areas and keep at least 5m away from any green surfaces or tee surrounds. If we get a spell of wet weather, this will be reviewed and could change with little notice, so check the web site or course line before leaving home to play.
Players may lift, clean and place (or play off a mat) through the green. Mats are mandatory on all closely mown areas until Saturday 3rd April, whereupon they become optional for social golf until 19th April. Members should retain their mat for next winter or risk a small charge of £5 for a new one.
Until further notice, when a ball comes to rest in the rough, for social golf the ball may be cleaned and placed, or played off a mat.
The 8th hole will revert to playing round the dog-leg to the left - ie to the usual main green
Several bunkers are waiting for new sand and are to be treated as ground under repair for the time being. The green side bunker on the 1st is in play, but its newly turfed surround is GUR from which relief must be taken.
Please take a few seconds to repair a couple of pitch marks on any green – it makes a huge difference.
Green staff safety. Please always treat the green staff exactly the same as you would any golfers playing in front of you. Either wait for them to move out of range, or wait until they acknowledge/wave and call you through. They will know you are there and will do their best to clear out of the way as quickly as possible. Thank you.
